It has been suggested by Dave Hilton, South Downs Branch, that a commemorative 'first day cover', be designed, produced and printed by members of the RAFPA to celebrate the centenary of the RAF Police. It would be on a C5 envelope with appropriate artwork, Post Office 'franking' and relevant information with possibly an insert containing a potted history of the RAFP. The sum of £5 is an approx estimate for the complete envelope.

If you are interested in obtaining one of these inexpensive and unique mementoes please contact Mitch O'Neill at michael.oneill67@ntlworld.com

David Budd has notified his decision to step-down from the position of Association Chairman stating:

"Having given the matter a lot of thought over the past months I have decided that I will not be renewing my membership of the RAF Police Association. I am aware that, under Chapter 9 of the RAF Police Association Constitution, any member holding office within the Association is required to be a 'fully paid up member' and in accordance with this rule I will be relinquishing my position as National Chairman with immediate effect. I will make all arrangements to get the Chain of Office, and other documentation held by me, returned ASAP."

Alan Mitchell, the RAFPA Vice Chairman, will assume the duties of the Chairman until the selection of the new Chairman at the April Annual General Meeting.
